Last updated: February 2026
WristNav is a Wear OS application for offline map navigation and GPS activity tracking. This privacy policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.
Data We Collect
WristNav may collect and process the following data on your device:
- Location data — GPS coordinates used for map display and route recording
- Health data — Heart rate and step count from your watch's sensors during activity recording
- Activity data — Distance, pace, elevation, and duration of recorded activities
- GPX files — Route files you import or that are generated from your recordings
How We Use Your Data
All data collected by WristNav is processed locally on your device. We do not transmit your personal data to any external servers operated by us.
- Location data is used solely to display your position on the map and record your route
- Health data is used solely to display live stats and save to GPX files
- GPX files are stored on your device and only shared when you explicitly choose to do so
Strava Integration
WristNav offers optional integration with Strava. If you choose to connect your Strava account:
- You will be redirected to Strava's authorisation page
- WristNav will request permission to upload activities on your behalf
- Your Strava credentials are never stored by WristNav — only the access token provided by Strava
- You can revoke access at any time via your Strava account settings
Strava's own privacy policy applies to data held by Strava. See strava.com/legal/privacy.
Data Sharing
WristNav does not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties, except:
- When you explicitly upload an activity to Strava
- When you explicitly share a GPX file using your device's share functionality
Data Storage
All data is stored locally on your device. GPX recordings are saved to your device's Downloads folder. You can delete any data at any time by removing files from your device or uninstalling the app.
